Hanoi, April 5, 2026 – AstraZeneca Vietnam is partnering with the program “Public Health Day 2026 – Proactive Disease Prevention for a Healthier Vietnam” organized by the Ministry of Health in response to World Health Day. The program includes free health screening activities for the community, helping raise public awareness, expand access to early detection of serious diseases, and promote digital transformation in healthcare.
The program “Public Health Day 2026 – Proactive Disease Prevention for a Healthier Vietnam” plays an important role in improving access to quality healthcare services, especially in early detection of non-communicable diseases and cancer in Vietnam. It is expected that more than 5,000 people will take part in free check-ups, screenings, and in-depth consultations for serious conditions such as cardiovascular, kidney, metabolic diseases, and cancer which are some of the leading causes of disease burden in Vietnam.
As part of the program, AstraZeneca Vietnam sponsors free screening activities supported by advanced medical technologies implemented by the Vietnam Young Physicians Association. People are screened for respiratory diseases, cancer, and common non-communicable diseases through AI-powered imaging diagnostics and advanced testing. This contributes to the goal of building a smart, effective, and sustainable healthcare system in Vietnam.

Based on its comprehensive cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Health, AstraZeneca focuses on supporting the management of non-communicable diseases, promoting clinical research, and driving innovation initiatives to improve healthcare quality and move toward a sustainable healthcare system. Over the years, AstraZeneca Vietnam has supported many meaningful community health programs. Since 2022, the company has funded the CAREME program, helping screen hundreds of thousands of people and detect cardiovascular, kidney, and metabolic diseases early, while also promoting digital technology in medical record management. At the same time, the company has implemented research programs, including integrating artificial intelligence into chest X-ray analysis using Qure.ai’s qXR software at Bach Mai Hospital. This helps improve early detection of lung nodules and supports more effective lung cancer screening.
