AstraZeneca Vietnam has been awarded as one of Vietnam’s top 100 best places to work, which demonstrates the company’s impressive achievements in nearly three decades of being an attractive workplace for local talents and a partner of choice to develop Vietnam’s health system and economy.
This is the fourth consecutive year AstraZeneca is recognised in this employer ranking programme by Anphabe. Out of 100 companies honoured and 515 companies surveyed in 2022, AstraZeneca is ranked #15 overall, and #4 in the Pharmaceutical, Medical Equipment and Healthcare Services category.
At the award ceremony, Nitin Kapoor, Chairman and General Director, AstraZeneca Vietnam and Asia Area Frontier Markets, said: “We are proud that our entrepreneurial, collaborative, and empowering workplace culture is recognised by our employees and the award organisers. Along with our vision to bring life-changing medicines and vaccines to millions of people in Vietnam, we want our team members – our biggest asset – to realise the full breath of their potential and will continue to build AstraZeneca as a best place to work.”
AstraZeneca currently employs over 500 people in Vietnam, many of whom have worked with the company for more than ten, or even 25 years. Colleagues frequently receive opportunities for professional growth and development at both the country and regional levels to make larger impact. In the company’s latest independently run internal survey, 96% of the employees voted that AstraZeneca is a great place to work, with 97% said they feel “inspired to do [their] best work,” and 99% believed in the company’s future direction.
AstraZeneca’s focus on achieving equity and inclusion has been expressed through not only its commitment to broad and equitable access to its COVID-19 vaccine during the pandemic, but also through the demographics of its workforce. In Vietnam, more than half of employees as well as the leadership team are female.
This latest award once again highlights AstraZeneca’s contribution in Vietnam, alongside other prestigious awards including certificates of merit from the Minister of Health for outstanding contributions to the fight against COVID-19 and to advancing cancer treatment; Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union’s Medal for exceptional contributions to the young generation, and other awards from reputable chambers of commerce such as the BritCham and EuroCham.
