Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam – May 26th, 2023 – Swiss luxury watch brand TAG Heuer  proudly celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Carrera. 

TAG Heuer did something just as daring and maverick as the watch’s design by  launching a Hollywood action-comedy. Starring TAG Heuer brand ambassador Ryan  Gosling (Drive, The Gray Man) and Vanessa Bayer (I Love That For You, Saturday  Night Live), the offbeat chase thriller sees Gosling on the run from Bayer’s Prop Master  as she attempts to take his beloved TAG Heuer Carrera off his wrist – something he  doesn’t plan on letting her do. 

Inspired by the notoriously dangerous and gruelling Carrera Panamericana race first  staged in 1950, Jack Heuer, TAG Heuer’s legendary former CEO, gave its name to  the iconic chronograph in 1963. It was designed with readability and simplicity in mind,  vital for drivers navigating high-speed bends. The result was an icon – elegant and  uncluttered, sporty, and daring – that spoke to Heuer’s love of mid-century design yet  remains timeless six decades on. 

A partnership between TAG Heuer and Swiss Master Time – 5 iconic Carrera heritage  pieces from 1950s to 1971 directly from TAG Heuer’s museum in La Chaux-de-Fonds,  Switzerland, will be showcased at Saigon Centre alongside the Porsche Carrera 911,  marking a partnership between TAG Heuer Vietnam and Porsche Vietnam.
