Seoul-based edutech startup Mathpresso announced that its math-solver app QANDA reached 1 billion questions solved by the app. Vietnamese users reached 3.6 millions – roughly 50% of the entire K-12 population in Vietnam.<\/p>\n
Developed by Korea\u2019s leading edtech startup, Mathpresso, \u2018QANDA\u2019 is a mobile app that enables students of all levels to receive instant solutions and 1-on-1 support from some of the world\u2019s top-university tutors. Users can take a photo of a math problem, upload it to the app, and then its AI-based optical character recognition scan will find and solve it in five seconds. Since its launch in 2016, QANDA has solved over 1 billion problems submitted by students from over 50 countries. Over 3 million questions are asked and searched through QANDA every day. Since COVID-19, the company has seen a surge on the e-learning platform demand, with its number of questions solved increasing from 500 millions in April to 1 billion.<\/p>\n
After the company launched the Vietnamese service in August 2019, QANDA ranked no.1 on Google Playstore\u2019s Education Chart in Vietnam in just two months. The iOS version was released this February and scored no.1 on the App Store\u2019s Education Chart in just two weeks. Other high-ranking apps include local services VNEdu Connect and TFLAT English Vietnamese Dictionary, and CAKE of Playlist Corporation – another Korean company. Seeing its impressive growth, Mathpresso opened the Vietnam office in November 2019 and launched the online\/offline tutoring platform, Qandaclass (qandaclass.vn) this October.<\/p>\n
