MDIS Partners with Northumbria University, UK to offer Healthcare Management & Public Health Master\u2019s Degree Qualifications for Healthcare Practitioners!<\/em><\/p>\n

COVID-19 has changed the daily lives of many as every country and industry prepares to enter a \u201cnew normal\u201d where people from various backgrounds have to adapt and live with the pandemic.\u00a0 The medical area is no exception and amid the global health crisis, the healthcare industry of Vietnam will offer fresh opportunities especially in the public health and healthcare management arena.<\/p>\n

The economic growth and demographic changes are driving demand for healthcare services throughout Vietnam, and not just in the two economic centers of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Public and provincial-level hospitals funded by the respective governments are undergoing upgrades of their facilities and new departments will be opened for specialized medical and healthcare treatment. Such developments are creating new opportunities for medical devices and will result in the country being one of the highest growth markets in Asia for pharmaceutical products too.<\/p>\n

Technology is a key tenant of the Healthcare 3.0 revolution.\u00a0 Essentially, innovations in Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, e-Doctors, and Chatbots have not only been utilized for treating chronic conditions but also transforming patient care with big data, offering valuable insights to facilitate radical change in the healthcare sector.\u00a0 Changes are already taking place and Healthcare 3.0 will continue to evolve in new ways.\u00a0 For example, the US$15 billion gamification industry is moving into the medical field as well where Gaming can be used creatively to transform medical training and engage the public in medical advances.<\/p>\n

Vietnam\u2019s ambition to modernize the healthcare system will also generate plenty of business opportunities in the upcoming years and despite uncertainties of the global economy, the demand for upskilling of the workforce in the healthcare industry remains buoyant.\u00a0 The employment of medical and health service managers is projected to grow significantly and the demand for these professionals to possess skills such as leadership, critical thinking, analytical, and critical decision-making skills is necessary for them to take on greater challenges such as planning and directing a large scale healthcare operation.<\/p>\n

To support the growing demand of these healthcare professionals, MDIS is leading the way by introducing two new Master\u2019s degree in Healthcare Management and Public Health. \u00a0Both the Master of Science in Healthcare Management and Master of Public Health from Northumbria University in the UK covers all the main components, including the critical analysis of models and skills of leadership, management, and systems-based collaborative functions in the public health and healthcare context. In addition to enhancing employability prospects locally and globally, these programmes are designed to offer the opportunity for experienced practitioners and professionals interested in the healthcare sector to focus on practices, policies, and the overall drivers and impact on the management of healthcare and public health.<\/p>\n
