Rakuten Viber affirms its position as an application that puts the security and privacy of Vietnamese people first by continuously committing to improving security features for users in Vietnam.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Rakuten Viber recorded over 54% of users valuing security and privacy features, while 48% of users loved the user-friendly interface and 44% emphasized free messaging and calling. The robust increase of users in Vietnam is reinforced by an 8% growth in content consumption channels, including football sports channel\u2014the most popular national sport\u2014and areas such as travel, and national government news, and continuous growth of usage of productivity tools for professionals such as \u201cMy Notes\u201d with a 10% year-over-year growth, and 13% growth for Group Calls showing users\u2019 unwavering trust for the super app.<\/span><\/p>\n

Previously, Rakuten Viber has affirmed its position as the leading messaging application with a commitment to ensuring security and privacy for users as they completed the Service<\/span> Organization Control (SOC) 2 Type II certification<\/span>. This is also Rakuten Viber’s leading direction in committing to comply with the highest standards of security and data privacy for users in Vietnam.<\/span><\/p>\n

To fulfill this commitment, in 2024, Rakuten Viber upgraded and launched many features to enhance security and the experience for Vietnamese users. First, the Caller ID feature helps authenticate the identity of the caller, giving users peace of mind when receiving calls. The spam filtering system uses a proprietary AI algorithm that allows Rakuten Viber to control more than 99.9% of the ability to send spam and scam messages to reach users.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rakuten Viber is also the first messaging app to integrate end-to-end encryption for all 1:1 chats and private video calls.
